How to Check the ChromeOS Version of a Chromebook

Follow these steps to check the ChromeOS Version of a Chromebook

Our Chromebooks in the District are set to the ChromeOS 130 which is good for all testing purposes.

Chromebooks need to be at ChromeOS Version 130 to make sure that they are good for testing and that they maintain good WIFI connection stability.

If you have a Chromebook with a ChromeOS lower than 130 please follow these steps to Update the Chromebook

Verifying Which ChromeOS a Chromebook has is very easy to do

Make sure that you are on the Main Login Screen for the Chromebook.

On the keyboard of the device press Alt + V at the same time.

On the upper right hand corner of the screen you will see the ChromeOS Version Appear along with some additional info about the Chromebook including it’s serial number.

To Remove this info from the screen of the Chromebook simply press Alt + V again.
