How to Find the MAC Address of a Chromebook

This guide explains how to locate the MAC Address (Media Access Control Address) of a Chromebook. This unique identifier is often required for network troubleshooting, inventory management, or whitelisting devices on specific networks.

Steps to Locate the MAC Address

  1. While on the SSO Login Screen, click on the Time in the bottom right corner.

  1. Click on the "Manage" icon (or the small arrow) next to the Wi-Fi network the device is connected to.

  • Note: The device should typically be connected to CISD-EDU.

  1. A network details window will appear. Scroll down until you see the "MAC Address" listed.
