Performing an audit: Rapid Scanning

Rapid Scan allows you to quickly build a list of multiple assets in Incident IQ so you can efficiently update and/or verify them.

How to Use Rapid Scan in Incident IQ

1. Log In

Log in to Incident IQ and navigate to your main Dashboard.

Incident IQ main dashboard screen.

2. Start Scanning

While on your dashboard, simply grab your scanner and begin scanning the asset tags of the devices you want to verify for your current room or location.

  • You do not need to click on a search bar or open a specific menu first. As long as you are on the dashboard, the system will recognize the scanner input automatically.

3. Review the Pop-Up Window

As you scan, Incident IQ will automatically create and update a pop-up window displaying a list of all the assets you have scanned.

This window provides the following helpful information about your scanned batch:

  • Number of Assets Scanned: A running total of the devices.

  • Location and Room Number: Where the assets are currently assigned.

  • Asset Details: The Model, Asset Tag, and Serial Number of each device.

  • Owner: The last student to log into the device (Note: This field is primarily relevant for student devices).
