Submit a Technology Recycling Ticket
Follow this guide to learn how to submit a Technology EOL/Recycling Ticket in Incident IQ after you have finished the previous three steps.
Important: You must complete the first three steps in the Technology Recycling process BEFORE submitting the Technology Recycling Ticket in Incident IQ:
Step-by-Step Submission Guide
Go to the Tickets tab and click New Ticket.

Select Devices/Hardware.

Select Technology Recycling/EOL.

Click Technology Type.

Select the Asset Type you are recycling (e.g., Chromebook, iPad, Non-Student Device, etc.).

🛑 Special Note for "Non-Student Devices": If you select Non-Student Device, you will see a prompt with an image of "Ice Cream Carts" (WOW or Datamation Carts).
Review the image. These carts must be sent to Auction rather than standard recycling.
Answer the required question: "Look at the picture above. Do you have any of these 'Ice Cream Carts'?" (Select Yes or No).

Fill out the Technology Recycling ticket being sure to:
Description: Add a description of the type of assets you are recycling.
Room Location: Enter the room number where the Network Tech can find the assets.
Number of Assets: Enter the total count of items being recycled.
Upload Excel File: Attach the Excel file you exported in the prerequisites step.

Confirm Upload: Verify the Excel file is attached to the ticket. Click Submit Ticket.

Required Steps After Clicking Submit
You have successfully submitted the ticket, but you must now physically prepare the assets for pickup:
Print the Ticket from Incident IQ.
Print the Excel File with the list of assets you are recycling.
Place both of these documents on top of the assets being recycled.
Your District Network Tech will use this Excel List to verify that they have picked up all the assets you are recycling.
Ticket Workflow (What happens next):
The completed Technology Recycling Ticket will automatically be assigned to your District Network Tech.
Your District Network Tech will pick up the items and deliver them to the warehouse. Once delivered, the District Network Tech will change the status of the ticket to “Recycled Assets – Delivered to Warehouse”.
When the District Network Tech changes the ticket to this status it will automatically assign the ticket to Shane Mitchell.
Shane will then remove the assets from your school’s Recycling/End of Life room and finish the process of recycling the assets before resolving the ticket.
ONLY District Network Techs should change the status of Technology Recycling tickets to "Recycled Assets – Delivered to Warehouse".
They will only do this after they have picked up the assets from the school and delivered them to the Warehouse. Please do not change this status yourself.
