How to Install Apps using JAMF School Student
This guide explains how to use the JAMF School Student application to download and install approved apps on district iPads. This system replaces the previous "Self-Service" app.
If the JAMF School Student app is not yet configured on your device, please refer to the JAMF School Student App Setup guide first.
Identifying the App Store
To install apps, students must use the JAMF School Student app.
1. Locate the Icon
Please look for the JAMF School Student icon (image on the left, deep purple) on your iPad home screen. This is the new standard for downloading apps.
Note: The previous app was called "Self-Service." Please discontinue using the old icon. (image on right)

How to Download Apps
1. Open the App
Tap the JAMF School Student icon to open the app library.
2. Browse and Install
Locate the app you wish to install from the list and select it to begin the download.
3. Troubleshooting for Older iPads
On some older iPads, the app list may not appear immediately. If you see a different screen upon opening the app, please select the Orange Icon to reveal the list of apps.
Requesting New Apps
A software approval process is required for any new app that is not currently available in the JAMF School Student store.
