Staff Audit Guide

This document outlines the mandatory Beginning of Year audit procedures for campus staff. Follow these instructions to locate, verify, and reconcile all physical hardware assigned to your room.


1. What Hardware Needs to Be Audited?

Before starting your audit, check which items in your room need to be audited.

Example items to Audit: Classroom displays/smartboards, teacher computers, document cameras, desktop computers, room charging carts, etc.

2. How to Audit Your Room

You can complete your audit using either a computer or the phone app. Pick whichever method is easiest for you.

Option A (Recommended): Using the Incident IQ Website (Desktop PC, Laptop or Chromebook)

Option B: Using the Incident IQ Mobile App (Phone or Tablet/iPad)


3. What to Do If Something Is Missing or Broken

  • Missing or Broken Equipment: Please reach out to your Campus Technology Contact and record the asset tag on your Room Asset Audit checklist.

  • Missing Student Devices should be locked and have their status changed to missing in Incident IQ.


4. How do I Know the Audit is Complete?

Your audit is complete when you’ve completed the items below:

  • Completed Room Audit: You have followed the Room Asset Audit Checklist and instructions provided by your Campus Technology Contact to audit all assets in your room.

  • Submitted Signed Checklist: You have signed and returned your completed Room Asset Audit Checklist to your Campus Technology Contact.

  • Campus Technology Contact Verification: Your Campus Technology Contact has confirmed that all room technology has been verified and correctly assigned to your room in Incident IQ (IIQ).
