Getting your Chromebooks ready for testing is an important step that can help eliminate the amount of device related issues on test day.
The good news is that getting your Chromebooks ready for testing is easy and involves only 3 things to check for:
Do any of my Chromebooks need to be updated?
Have My Chromebooks been wiped recently?
Are my Chromebooks on EDU WIFI?
Do my Chromebooks Need to be Updated? More importantly can they be updated?
Follow this guide to check the ChromeOS version of your Chromebook:
If your Chromebooks are ChromeOS 130 or above they are good for testing and do not need to be updated.
If any of your Chromebooks are lower than ChromeOS 130 the Chromebook should be updated if it can be:
Some Chromebooks auto update expired meaning they are too old to receive updates and are not good for testing.
All Chromebook Models have an Auto-Expiration Date when they stop receiving updates.
Once a Chromebook stops receiving updates it is no longer good for testing since it can no longer get critical updates needed for it to support testing apps like the Secure Test Browser.

If your Chromebook is Good for Testing the chart also shows what ChromeOS it should currently be on to be ready for all testing purposes.
To Find the Chromebook Model simply look on the back of the Chromebook and you will find that info etched onto the Chromebook in small letters there.

Have my Chromebooks Been Wiped Recently?
Chromebook storage tends to fill up with daily use especially with some of our older Chromebooks which have less storage.
Wiping a Chromebook helps to clear up some of that storage space ensuring that storage issues won’t impact the Chromebook on test day.
If it has been more than a few months since your Chromebooks have been wiped we recommend wiping them before test day.

Are My Chromebooks on EDU WIFI?
All Student Devices should be on EDU WIFI. It provides the best WIFI connection for testing purposes.
