Changing Requestor Information

Sometimes a ticket is submitted by the wrong person or on behalf of someone else. Incident IQ allows you to change both the submitter and the person the ticket is for—directly from the ticket view.

How to Change Requestor Information

  1. Open the ticket

  2. In the Submitted By section (usually near the top), click Change

  3. A pop-up window will appear

From here, you can:

  • Update the user who submitted the ticket

  • Change who the ticket was submitted on behalf of by unchecking the box under the submitter’s name

    • A second dropdown will appear where you can search for the correct user

🔄 These changes are helpful when support staff or teachers submit tickets on behalf of students or other staff.
